Volleyball Open Gym Rules

Description & Format:

Welcome to all players! Players will be assigned a team based on their skillset in order to level out the playing field. Teams will then play one another on their court. This format is designed to offer well-matched games in a relaxing manner no matter your volleyball skill level. All players will play the majority of time, players can come and go as they please.

 

Games will be played to 15 points in 15 minute time slots. This will ensure that players can rotate in and change up teams as needed throughout the night. We play the WIN 2 & OFF 1 game format.

Arrival Time:

Please get to the gym 15 minutes prior to Open Gym time and check in with Players Sport & Social staff at check-in. Open Gym will begin promptly at the scheduled start time. 

 

Sportsmanship 

Being competitive on the field is applauded & encouraged in all of our leagues & tournaments! It is also important to understand that there is a fine line between being competitive & being unsportsmanlike. All players should treat one another with respect on the field & after the game. Everyone has to go to work tomorrow, so please keep safety & sportsmanship in mind out there! Check out our Player Conduct Page for specifics.
