Description & Format:

Welcome to all players! Players will be assigned a team based on their skillset in order to level out the playing field. Teams will then play one another on their court.  This format is designed to offer well-matched games in a relaxing manner no matter your volleyball skill level. All players will play the majority of time in this 3-hour event, players can come and go as they please.

Games will be played to 15 points in 15 minute time slots. This will ensure that players can rotate in and change up teams as needed throughout the night. We play the WIN 2 & OFF 1 game format as well.

No problem. Add yourself as a individual to the list along with your skill level, and we'll match you up with a team.

Arrival Time:

Please get to the gym 15 minutes prior to Open Gym time and check in with Players Sport & Social staff at check-in. Open Gym will begin promoptly at the advertised start time. 

Level of Play:

ALL Levels are welcome, we will have a court for YOU! For these events, we have up to 5-7 courts to play on, so there players are likely to compete against similar level teams/players. Games are self-reffed and players need to make their own calls. We aim to make everyone feel welcome at these events. Players must be 19 or older to be eligible to participate.

Open - Highest Level of Competition

AA - Very Competitive

A – Competitive

BB – Upper Intermediate

B – Intermediate

C – Lower Intermediate

Rec – Recreational, Easiest Level of Competition

Sportsmanship 

Being competitive on the field is applauded & encouraged in all of our leagues & tournaments! It is also important to understand that there is a fine line between being competitive & being unsportsmanlike. All players should treat one another with respect on the field & after the game. Everyone has to go to work tomorrow, so please keep safety & sportsmanship in mind out there! Check out our Player Conduct Page for specifics.
