Sports Management Intern
Fall 2026
The Sports Management Intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of all sports leagues and events. Duties will include league supervision, inventory management, staff management, customer service & more! The internship requires evening and weekend hours. Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and running PSSG leagues and tournaments
- Supervise leagues in all sports
- Deliver equipment to league locations
- Provide excellent customer service on site and over the phone
- Manage equipment & t-shirt inventory
- Includes work at parties & events on weeknights and weekends
- Socialize and promote the PSSG brand
Requirements
- Degree or enrolled towards a degree in business, sports management, physical education or recreation
- Ability to work approx 30 hours per week split between office hours and on site at leagues/events
- Familiarity with the city of Chicago
- Friendly, outgoing and interested in socializing with others
- Interested in sports and recreational activities
- Past officiating/umpiring experience is preferred but not required
- MUST have a car available (mileage reimbursed)
- Valid driver's license

Volleyball Events Intern (Summer & Fall Only)
Fall 2026
The Volleyball Events Intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of all sports leagues and events, with a heavy emphasis on our large volleyball program. Other responsibilities include communicating with customers/teams, planning and running volleyball tournaments, inventory management, coordinating with club coaches and more! The internship requires evening and weekend hours. This role is designed for a volleyball-savvy college junior or senior who has experience running volleyball tournaments. Preference will be given to applicants with college team officer, captain and/or coaching experience. Ideal applicants would be business or recreation majors looking to work in the management/operations side of sports, but this is not a requirement. Requirements

- Volleyball tournament experience as a director, official, player, coach, etc
- Current collegiate volleyball team captains & officers perferred but not required
- Familiarity with the city of Chicago
- Friendly, outgoing and interested in socializing with others
- Interested in sports and recreational activities
- Valid driver's license

Marketing & Graphic Design Intern
Fall 2026
(Office-Based)
Players Sport & Social is one of Chicagoβs leading adult sports and social organizations, running leagues, tournaments, and large-scale events year-round. Our marketing team supports player growth, retention, and partner success across all programs. This role is primarily in-office at our Chicago office (1708 N Ashland Ave), with some on-site support at leagues and events.
The Marketing & Graphic Design Intern will work closely with the Marketing and Operations teams on day-to-day marketing execution, planning, and analysis. This role is ideal for a student interested in marketing strategy, design, data, and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with graphic design for social media, emails, league promotions, and sponsor deliverables
- Support planning and organization of marketing campaigns and seasonal launches
- Help analyze customer data, registration trends, and campaign performance
- Assist with fulfilling sponsorship and contract requirements
- Support email marketing efforts
- Help maintain organized marketing calendars, files, and internal documentation
- Provide general administrative and marketing support related to league preparation, ongoing initiatives, and special events
Requirements
- Degree or enrolled towards a degree in marketing, business, sports management or recreation
- Ability to work approximately 25 hours per week in-person at the office and on-site at leagues/events
- Proficient in Canva; experience with CapCut and Adobe is a plus
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with the city of Chicago
- Friendly, outgoing and interested in socializing with others
- Interested in sports and recreational activities
- Valid driver's license

Social Media & Brand Activation Intern
Fall 2026
(On-Site / Customer-Facing)
Players Sport & Social creates fun, competitive, and social adult sports leagues across Chicago. From volleyball and softball to pickleball and bar events, we bring people together through sports, community, and great partner bars. This role is primarily on-site at our various Chicago league and event locations with some support in-person at the Players office (1708 N Ashland Ave).
The Social Media & Brand Activation Intern will be the face of Players at our summer leagues. This role is highly social, hands-on, and a positive, outgoing attitude is required β ideal for someone who loves sports, interacting with people, and creating content in real environments. This intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Attend and assist with league operations at multiple locations throughout the week
- Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for players and team captains
- Execute sponsorship activations (signage, giveaways, promotions, bar partnerships, etc.)
- Capture photo and video content at leagues (games, players, atmosphere, sponsor moments)
- Assist in creating organic social media content (Instagram posts & stories, TikToks, etc.)
- Collect player feedback and report insights back to the marketing and operations team
- Support special events, tournaments, and pop-up activations as needed
Requirements
- Degree or enrolled towards a degree in events, marketing, business, sports management or recreation
- Ability to work 3 league shifts per week (evenings & weekends) and in-office 1 day per week (approx 25 hours total)
- Outgoing, personable, & comfortable talking to large groups
- Comfortable being on camera often for social media content
- Experience taking action photos/videos
- Organized, reliable, and able to work evenings (Reliable transportation required; access to a car preferred)
- Familiarity with the city of Chicago
- Friendly, outgoing and interested in socializing with others
- Interested in sports, events, marketing, or brand partnership
- Valid driver's license
