The Fantasy Greek's NFL Draft Night Fundraiser to Benefit Foundations of Music

 

 

On April 28, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., join TheFantasyGreek.com --- Chicago's very own premier football news and fantasy football advice site --- to watch Round 1 of the NFL Draft and be a part of a live Podcast at Goose Island Brewery, 1800 N. Clybourn Avenue. The Event benefits local charity, Foundations of Music (http://www.foundationsofmusic.org/), which implements programs which provide hands-on music education for children in Chicago. Foundations of Music impacts over 7,000 students in over 30 Chicago Public Schools with 94.71% of children low-income. The cost of the event is $50 which covers food and a donation, as well as an entry into a live raffle of various items including sports collectibles and gift certificates. Goose Island has donated a keg of beer to the event with a cash bar.

Power of Play Charity Basketball Tournament

 

 

 
With support by the Chicago Luvabulls at a packed two day event, May 14-15, 2016, the Power of Play Charity Basketball Tournament is set to raise funds for youth that need it most. Power of Play features 5 on 5 basketball tournaments, skill competitions, live entertainment including the Chicago Luvabulls and giveaways by Sports Authority and Buffalo Wild Wings.  All proceeds will be donated to Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago and Right to Play, both health and wellness causes. With support by the Chicago community, we have the power to make a difference in children’s lives all while playing sports and having fun!
 
When: Saturday May 14th, Youth Event (ages 13-17 ) 11am Start
Sunday May 15th, Adult Event (ages 18+) 11am Start
Where: Windy City Fieldhouse, 2367 W Logan Blvd, Chicago IL
Cost: Youth Team$100 per team (5+ players).
Adult Team: $175 per team (5+ players).
There is no individual cost. Max of 10 players on a team. Teams are encouraged to sign up by April 20th to receive discount.

Join The Mercy Home Marathon Team

 

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is recruiting runners to represent Mercy Home at the Bank of America marathon in October.  We are a qualified charity for the marathon and have 265 spots, but we need to secure 100 runners by April 12th in order to keep our spots.

Step Up for Kids

Are you ready to make a difference for kids? Climb 80 floors to the top of the Aon Center, one of Chicago's tallest buildings, while raising money for the patients and families of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago during the 19th annual Aon Step Up for Kids. The event takes place on Sunday, January 31, 2016. In conjunction with the MLB Player’s Trust and the Chicago Cubs, the Cal Ripken Jr. Foundation will be hosting a baseball/softball clinic at Lawrence Baseball/Softball Fields next to Wilson State Park on July 28th from 10:15 am-12:30 pm with registration starting at 9:15-10 am.   Players Sport & Social Group is a supporter of the foundation and would like to invite players to volunteer alongside the Chicago Cubs to help coach basic baseball/softball drills.
